Open Call for Expressions of Interest – ND Mentors

Paid roles for neurodivergent creative mentors

We are seeking expressions of interest from established neurodivergent creatives interested in mentoring as part of Spectra, a new leadership and creative development programme for neurodivergent creatives in Scotland (March 2026 – February 2027).

What is Spectra?

Spectra supports six neurodivergent creatives to explore what leadership means on their own terms – through group learning, reflection, and a collaborative creative project. Each participant will receive up to eight one-to-one mentoring sessions with an established neurodivergent creative or leader.

What is this call out for?

We’re building a small pool of potential mentors at this stage – not booking roles yet – because the mentoring relationship is key. Once participants are selected (February 2026), they’ll help choose who they’d like to work with, so the match feels right for everyone.

What do I need to know if I am selected?

Selected mentors would be contracted for 1 initial session to check for fit. If both mentor and mentee are happy to go ahead, we would contract for the remaining 7 sessions.

Fee: £90 per hour for 8 hours

Format: all sessions are on Zoom

Timeline: Programme starts March 2026, and must finish by February 2027

How do I make an expression of interest?

If you’re interested, please send a short email telling us:

  • Why you would like to mentor for Spectra
  • Any particular areas of expertise or knowledge you’d like to bring (creative practice, access work, leadership, etc.)
  • A link to your professional website or mentoring profile
  • Anything that helps us make good matches – communication style, boundaries, access needs etc.

Please email your expression of interest to neuk@doorinthewall.co.uk by 5pm on Friday 6th February. Please use the subject line Spectra Mentor expression of interest.

Please note that this is a reserved role for neurodivergent applicants.

We particularly welcome interest from neurodivergent People of Colour, working class people, and others currently underrepresented in leadership roles in the arts.
